Where will two wheels take you?

This May, we encourage you to join us in celebrating the fun and freedom of biking by finding at least one car trip that you can replace with a bicycle trip.  You could bike to the library, the grocery store, the park, church, work, school, or a friends' house.

If you need a little inspiration for getting on your bicycle, check out these great videos:

Cascade Bicycle Club -- Vision 2011

Why I'm for Bikes

If I Ride

Didn't make it to the Community Bike Ride on Sunday to get your free Bike Month t-shirt?  It's not too late: Leave a comment here letting us know where you plan to ride this month, or why you ride.  The first 20 comments will get a free shirt.  If you're feeling really inspired, you can even make your own video to share!  (Have a lot to share?  Multiple comments welcome, but one shirt per person.)

**Important information regarding bicycle tune-ups from Tim White at Mineral Area Cyclery
My insurance carrier is very emphatic about my shop not risking liability exposure through servicing the most unsafe bicycles marketed by toy & department/discount stores.  The makes excluded from my service are as follows:

NEXT;  Wal-Mart’s generic in-house brand; built by DYNACRAFT; most unsafe brand EVER sold; with 1/3 of a million on safety recalls by the Consumer Product Safety Commission (C.P.S.C.), FOR FRAMES/FORKS/PEDALS BREAKING IN HALF/ETC. !!!!!!
All other bikes built by DYNACRAFT (as is NEXT)
MAGNA
RAND
RHINO
RAZOR
HUFFY
MURRAY
ROAD-MASTER
JEEP
MATTEL
PACIFIC

I will sell owners of any of the above, excluded brands whatever they’re in need of, but it will be their responsibility to install the items themselves.  Sadly, none of the stores who sell those makes have a service, nor parts, department to accommodate their customers :~(((( !?!?!?!? That approach most assuredly defines a disposable product!!!!!

I will be servicing all bicycle shop brands, as well as other brands from sporting-goods stores/etc.

Sincerely,
